I am a writer of stories, essays, and an unpublished novel. I’d long thought about creative writing but got serious about twelve years ago and applied to the MFA program at SDSU. For five years, I was “forced” to try out my dream which was wonderful.

I’ve been fortunate to have had some successes in publishing stories and essays, both in print and online. I have a novel and two short story collections which I dream of publishing and seeing in the window of my beloved neighborhood bookstore, the Catapult.

In my “real life”, I’m a husband, dad, San Diego community college math professor, mentor in the Congolese refugee community, mountain biker, and mediocre hockey player.
